The Incubators experimentations for the Brussels case aim to contribute to the discussion on and visioning of the future development of the Josaphat site. This urban leverage zone, a 24ha area of regional interest, is currently awaiting its development while the regional government (SAU/MSI) is finalising a strategic master plan for its future.  Within the framework of the Incubators of Public Spaces project it is the aim to support the self-organisation of the place-making processes at the Josaphat site. As such, the Incubators co-creative software is aimed at facilitating the manifestation (visioning, exploration and construction) of this collective place-making in relation with the (official) strategic planning of the site. The Incubators tool is targeted to support a sustainable, economically viable, social and attractive urban development alternative.
